The ideal rod, reel and line combination put together to save both time and money. Starting with our aluminum Talon reel, we loaded high-floating fly lineand backing and topped it off with a clear monofilament, tapered leader. Next, we designed the 4-piece Stone Fly series and built them to perform with lofty action to deliver the line from the reel in perfect harmony to the water. We then protected the entire outfit in a soft-lined, segmented Cordura travel case to make for one outstanding outfit.

Really great setup for a starter rod with room to grow

Great setup for a first time wanting to start out, rod is very exceptional for price point. I was skeptical of the reel but it actually impressed me. Case the setup comes with is heavy duty and seems quality. Only complaint was that the line peepholes wasn’t done very well, or in haste, so the line has some kinks and bends in it and it has coiled up on its self when you have length pulled out. But other than the issue with the line spooled on the reel. I highly recommend this combo as a starter kit or an extra setup for people interested in the sport

Got it with cheap shipping and when I received the rod it was great! Got 7 perch and 1 rainbow first day with it.

Honestly an absolutely outstanding rod

Honestly an absolutely outstanding rod.I Fished with it and it really is great. On lighter side for 6-10 trout but that my fault more than the rods. Wonderful reel and wonderful line. Would not recommend a different combo setup ever…period.

Seems to be a good beginner set up.

Package seems solid. The reel has very tight tolerances and the rod roll casts effectively. Need more time on the water to evaluate this combo more precisely.
